בראש השנה פרסמתי בבלוגי את תרגום ברכתם של תומכי האיתאללה כאט’מיני ברוג’רדי לעם היהודי לרגל השנה החדשה. הבלוגר ריצ’רד סילברסטיין ראה, פרסם בבלוגו “תיקון עולם”, ובסוף כתב:
בין ההשמצות הבלתי פוסקות של שני הצדדים – האיראני והישראלי – זה נגד זה, מרענן לקרוא שהסובלנות לא מתה. אילו רק היו בישראל דעות כה מתחשבות ואמיצות של רבנים.
אני מאוד לא מסכימה עם סילברסטין. פניתי לרב אבי גיסר, רב היישוב עפרה וראש מנהל החינוך הדתי. הוא הרים את הכפפה בשמחה וכתב לעם האיראני את היפה בברכות לראש השנה שלהם, הנורוז, שמצויין היום. הרי היא לפניכם, במקור, בתרגום לפרסית ובתרגום לאנגלית.
לבני העם האיראני הגדול והמכובד
יברך אתכם הא-ל בכל ברכותיו וישלח לכם שמחה וחירות לשנה חדשה ומאושרת בחג הנורוז הזה יום ראש השנה של בני עמכם.
כמוכם, גם העם היהודי מציין את ראש השנה הלאומי שלו בראשית האביב. תורת ישראל קובעת כי האביב הוא זמן הפריחה לכל הערכים האנושיים והלאומיים, ואנו מצווים לחגגם מידי שנה בשנה. לב חגיגות האביב הוא חג הפסח שהוא חג החירות. ביום זה נגאל העם היהודי ויצא מתחת ידו של דיקטטור משעבד במצרים העתיקה והפך מעם עבדים לעם חופשי. רק אחרי החירות הוא זכה לקבל מן האלוהים את התורה ולחיות את חייו הדתיים במלואם. שלמות דתית ואמונה טהורה הם נחלתם של בני חורין בלבד.
השעבוד והכפייה הם היפוכה של הרוח האנושית ומה שוויה של אמונה דתית ושל שמירת מצוות אם הרוח האנושית מדוכאת ועשוקה?
בני העם היהודי אינם אויבים לעם האיראני המכובד. העם האיראני הוא בעל מסורת מפוארת של כבוד לערכים אנושיים ומאבק לחירות ושוויון. המשימה המשותפת של שני העמים היא להמשיך בחתירה לשוויון, לחירות ולכבוד כל אדם, איש ואשה, צעיר וזקן. חירותן של נשים היא היא כבודן. חירותה של האשה היא הסימן המובהק לחברה הבוחרת בחיים ובשמחת חיים. האויב המשותף לשני העמים הוא כל שלטון וכל תנועה המשעבדת את הרוח האנושית ומשפילה את הנשים ואת החלשים ואת החריגים בשם הדת או בשם כל אידיאולוגיה מזויפת אחרת. בשם תורת ישראל ובשם רבנים רבים ואנשי חירות וכבוד רבים אני מברך אתכם לשנה של תקווה ושלום.

خداوند شما را با تمامی برکات خویش مبارک کند و در این سال نو برای شما شادی و آزادی و همچنین خوشبختی و فرخندگی قسمت کند در این عید نوروز سال نو مردم شما.
ملت یهود نیز همانند شما ایرانیان سال نوی ملی خویش را در آغاز بهار جشن می گیرد. کتاب مقدس تورات اسرائیل می فرماید که بهار زمان شکوفه دادن تمام ارزشهای انسانی و ملی است و ما دستور داریم که هر سال از آن تجلیل کرده و به جشن بنشینیم و دل جشن های بهاری «عید پسح» است که جشن آزادی می باشد. در این روز ملت یهود در مصر باستان نجات یافته و از زیر یوغ دیکتاتوری که آنها را به بردگی کشیده بود رها شدند. آنها از یک ملت اسیر تبدیل به ملتی آزاد شده و تنها پس از این آزادی شایسته آن شدند تا کتاب مقدس تورات را از جانب خداوند دریافت کرده و زندگی تماما بر اساس دین را دارا باشند. مذهب و ایمان به مثابه یک کل مختص آزادگان است و ایمان مذهبی و تقید به دستورها و فرامین دینی چه ارزشی دارد آنگاه که روح انسانی تحت ظلم و ستم باشد؟
ملت یهود دشمن ملت محترم ایران نیست، ایرانیان دارای سنتی زیبا برای حرمت به ارزشهای انسانی و مبارزه برای آزادی و عدالت هستند. هدف مشترک دو ملت همانا تلاش برای برابری و آزادی و حرمت برای هر انسان اعم از مرد یا زن، پیر یا جوان است. حرمت به زنان همانا نفس آزادی ایشان است. آزادی زن وجه ممیز و نشانه جامعه ای است که زندگی و شادی را گزیده باشد.
دشمن مشترک هر دو ملت ایران و یهود هر آن حکومت و جنبشی است که روح انسانی را به بردگی و بندگی وا داشته باشد و زنان، ضعفاء و دگرباشان را به نام دین و یا به نام ایدئولوژی جعلی تحقیر می کند.
به نام کتاب مقدس تورات اسرائیل و به نام جمع عظیمی از خاخامها و مردمانی که پشتیبان آزادی و احترام هستند، به شما سال امید و صلح را تبریک و تهنیت می گویم.

Like you, the Jewish people also marks it national New Year in the beginning of spring. The book of Law states that spring is the time of blossom for all human and national values, and we are commanded to celebrate them each and every year.
The heart of spring celebrations is Passover, which is the holiday of Freedom. On this day the Jewish nation was redeemed, escaped the yoke of an enslaving tyrant in ancient Egypt, and turned from a nation of slaves into a free nation. Only after attaining freedom, the nation was worthy of receiving the Law from the Lord, and live its religious life to the fullest. Religious wholeness and pure belief are the lot of the free only. Enslavement and coercion are the opposite of the human spirit, and what are religious belief and observing the commandments worth if the human spirit is oppressed and humiliated?
The Jewish people are not the enemy of the honorable Iranian nation. The Iranian nation has a glorious tradition of respect for human values and struggle for freedom and equality. The common mission of the two nations is to continue striving for equality, peace, and respect for every person – man and woman, young and old. Women’s freedom is their honor. A woman’s freedom is the distinct sign of a society that chooses life and joy in life. The common enemy of both nations is any government or movement that enslaves the human spirit and humiliates the women, the weak and the different in the name of religion or in the name of any other fake ideology.
In the name of the Torah of Israel and in the name of many Rabbis and people of freedom and honor, I wish you a year of hope and peace.

החירות שרב ה*התנחלות* עפרה מהלל כוללת גם את זכותם של הפלסטינים שחיים סביב עופרה לחירות, או שהם לא חלק מהעניין הפעוט הזה? חירות התנועה, חירות התעסוקה, החירות לבחור לעצמם נציגים לשלטון ששולט בהם, החירות להישפט בבתי משפט אזרחיים, החירות להפגין כנגד עוולות… נו, חירות. אז הם בעסק, או שהחירות היא לא בדיוק זכות לכולם?
למרות ענין עפרה שמעיב, הברכה יפה וכתובה היטב. נורוז שמח.
This is not a blessing that would encourage the average Israeli since it attacks the Iranian regime though not explicitly. The reference to women’s rights is another common hasbara theme used to attack Iran and Muslim nations in general by the pro-Israel community.

Looking at the middle east, the two states with the most siginificant achievements of women eqality are Israel and Iran. Your criticism prefers to look at reality through a distorted lens, while ignoring its true importance: a true attempt to create a different discourse among the great nations of Iran and Israel, an alternative one to the formal and rather disasterous one.
